All our prices are displayed and charged in ISK and are inclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes. Hvammsvík is not responsible for any transaction or exchange fees the cardholder might incur as a result.

Payment must be made at the time of booking and we reserve the right to change prices without notice.

A ticket must be purchased in advance of your visit, please note admission is sold per person visiting and anyone attempting to enter the area without a ticket will be removed. Any purchased ticket is valid for a specific date and time and we cannot guarantee entry should you arrive more than an hour prior or later than the reserved time in which case a refund cannot be provided.

Please note that whilst we do not have a time limit on visits to the Hot Springs re-entry is not allowed. Once you check-in to the Hot Springs you cannot leave the changing facilities and re-enter later in the day so we can avoid crowding and preserve every guest’s experience.

Amendments are allowed up to 24 hours prior to your reserved timeslot. If the new timeslot booked is more expensive than the original timeslot the difference must be paid at the time of amendment. If the new timeslot booked is at a lower price than the original timeslot the difference will not be refunded. Should you need to amend your reservation within 24 hours of the booked timeslot an amendment fee of 3.450ISK per person applies. Please note that different terms apply to group bookings.

Cancellations are accepted up to 36 hours prior to the time slot booked for a full refund. Cancellations requested within 36 hours of the time slot booked will not be refunded. We encourage our guests to amend the ticket as per clause 5 of the terms to avoid the cancellation fee. Please note that different terms apply to group bookings.

Children under the age of 10 are not permitted at Hvammsvík Hot Springs. Children between the ages of 10 and 18 must be accompanied and supervised at all times by an adult over the age of 18.

We reserve the right to refuse admission to guests and ask guests to leave the premises at any time. We request our guests to be respectful at all times of other guests, our staff and nature. We operate a zero-tolerance policy towards verbal and physical abuse and respectfully request guests to avoid making excessive noise.

Guests must make staff aware of any pre-existing medical conditions that might impact their stay prior to entering the area. Guests enter the premises at their own risk regardless. You can expect the Hot Springs to be at a temperature of around 39 degrees Celsius but this can vary slightly. Some of the pools get cold depending on the tide and the hot springs are surrounded by the cold Atlantic Ocean. Outside temperatures and weather conditions vary.

Guests must read and familiarize with our safety and security guidelines and follow instructions from staff when offered. Please note that surfaces might be wet and slippery.

Guests enjoy the Hot Springs and surrounding nature at their own risk.

It is prohibited to bring food or beverages not purchased at Hvammsvík to the Hvammsvík Hot Springs premises.

Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property.

Pets are not allowed in the Hot Springs facilities or bathing area.

All guests must wear swimsuits while visiting the Hot Springs. We provide swimwear for rental should this be required.

Guests will be provided with a bracelet upon entering the facilities. Lockers are provided for storage whilst enjoying the Hot Springs. Guests are responsible for their belongings during their visit to the premises and Hvammsvík takes no responsibility for damaged, lost or stolen items. We strongly advise removing all jewellery prior to entering the hot springs.

Bracelets provided are also linked to your payment card at the time of entry. Guests are solely responsible for charges associated with the bracelet during the visit. We reserve the right to charge the card provided at the time of booking should your account not be settled on departure.

Guests must return the bracelet at reception when leaving the Hot Springs. We reserve the right to charge a fee of 2500 ISK to the card associated with the respective bracelet should it not be returned when you leave.

Taking photos and/or videos for commercial purposes on the premises is strictly forbidden without prior approval from Hvammsvík Hot Springs. We request guests that take photos and/or videos for personal use to be respectful of other guests in the area and exclude them from such photos and/or videos.

We try our utmost to keep the Hot Springs open as advertised but we will always place the safety and security of our guests at the forefront of our decisions. As a result, there might be occasions where we need to close the Hot Springs with short notice due to circumstances out of our control. Should this occur during your planned visit we will notify you as soon as such a decision is made and offer an amendment on your admission or a refund should this not be suitable.

Surfaces might be wet and slippery. Mind your step and hold the handrails. Stay on the designated paths.

Please drink responsibly. We reserve the right to refuse service to guests that seem excessively intoxicated. Please also note that the legal drinking age in Iceland is 20 years old and guests under 20 years of age will not be served alcohol. We further reserve the right to ask anyone to proof their age at the time of arrival.

Access to the building can be provided to wheelchair users should we be made aware in advance of your arrival. Please note the hot springs are very difficult to access for wheelchair users due to the nature and landscape of the area.

If you are unable to swim please notify us in advance of your arrival. We have a limited number of floating vests available for guests should this be required.

All guests must wash without swimsuits before entering the lagoon. Soap and shampoo is provided by the showers.

The usage of mobile phones in the changing rooms is prohibited at all times.

Guests must follow instructions from staff when offered.

Smoking/vaping is not allowed anywhere on the property.

We supply water fountains on the premises and encourage guests to drink water and avoid dehydration.

Please keep the dry areas in the changing room dry and dry yourself with a towel after showering.
